Corrective exercise

Corrective exercise

A transformative program that begins with a Biomechanical Analysis of the body, with the aim to return harmony and function through consistent, and intentional movement and exercise.

What is it?

As we move through life, without being aware of it, we begin accumulating patterns, behaviours and beliefs. These might have once served a purpose, but after prolonged periods they can become destructive, pathological to the system.

This can MANIFEST as PHYSICAL pain, stress or injury, and WE CAN BEGIN TO IDENTIFY WITH THESE FEELINGS OF DISCOMFORT, BELIEVING ITS just ‘how we are’.

I believe EACH ONE OF US HAS THE CAPACITY TO RETURN TO A STATE OF INNER BALANCE, OF HARMONY BETWEEN THE WORLD WITHIN AND THE WORLD OUTSIDE.

  • Step 1 - The Enquiry

Discovery call (via Zoom or in person) to discuss the work, your interest and if its right for you.

In this we will go over what your needs are, where I can help and what results to expect from working with me.

  • Step 2 - The Commitment

1-1 dreamweaving session - This will be a deep dive into establishing your dreams, goals and objectives, an opportunity to tune in and get clarity around your vision.

  • Step 3 - The Assessment

A 2 hour Biochemical Analysis session where I run through a suite of physical tests that include range of motion, muscle length/tension relationships, movement pattern analysis as well as a holistic lifestyle appraisal.

  • Step 4 - The Consistency

Each weekly session together will require work in the days between. With the nervous system, the brain and the deep stabiliser muscles of the body, their systems respond best to consistent, intentional corrective movements. The work outside of our sessions is equally as important.

Biomechanical analysis

In this session we will do a full postural analysis in standing and through movement. This includes primal pattern movements, functional movement assessments and muscle testing. Throughout this session we will be taking specific measurements and collecting data to help in creating completely tailored corrective exercise program. These programs require a minimum 6 week commitment.
